Planning information
The website and solar journal provide general planning information. They do not replace site-specific engineering, an accepted quotation, utility approval, or professional legal or financial advice. Check the exact equipment documents and current rules for your connection.
Solar and battery estimates
The calculator uses your inputs, published city-level solar models, and clearly stated assumptions. It estimates annual-energy-equivalent PV capacity and a nominal battery capacity. It cannot establish structural suitability, electrical protection, inverter surge capacity, permitted export, or continuous off-grid operation. Actual performance can differ.
Bills and savings
A bill amount does not uniquely identify electricity consumption. Tariff category, taxes, fixed charges, adjustments, and arrears matter. Annual solar production matching annual consumption does not mean a zero bill, guaranteed savings, or a guaranteed return. The tool does not estimate export revenue.
Sources and changes
References and policy summaries are dated. A source may be amended after review. Solar-resource models use historical data; they are not live weather forecasts. Confirm current utility requirements and applicable agreements before purchasing or changing a system.
Images and brands
Images identified as illustrative are generated illustrations and do not represent completed RENS installations. Published project records added by the admin are separate. Brand logos identify equipment choices; availability and exact models are confirmed in a proposal, and logo display alone does not imply an authorised partnership.
